Katey McCoy has just turned eighteen. She has aged out of the foster care system. An endless world of possibilities awaits her after she graduates in the spring, including the opportunity to escape her current abusive foster mother. She should have been excited, but a dark cloud of depression hangs over her head, stealing her ability to form any plan beyond just slogging through the school day.
