Sganarelle or the SelfDeceived Husband
Resumen
The play centers on the character of Sganarelle, a man who is convinced that his wife is unfaithful, despite having no real evidence to support his suspicions. His jealousy and self-deception lead to a series of humorous situations, in which his overreactions and misguided attempts to assert control over his wife create chaos. The plot revolves around Sganarelle's attempt to catch his wife in the act of infidelity, although she is entirely innocent. His constant mistrust leads to absurd interactions with other characters, particularly his wife, who is both bewildered and exasperated by his antics. The play humorously explores the themes of jealousy, marital trust, and the consequences of self-deception.
