Pumi in Sumeria: Utu and Inanna
THE BEGINNING OF CIVILIZATION: Short Stories, #4
Resumen
#4 in the "Pumi in Sumeria" series wherein Pumi continues his quest to find purpose by establishing a primitive hospital midway between the disease-ridden village of Lagash and Queen Lilith's new city of Umma.
Pumi's life affects a parade of people whose lives will be someday be enshrined as Sumerian gods---Utu, who will establish himself as the "Rider of the sun, seer of all things"---Inanna, Utu's twin sister, whose promiscuity and developing sexual prowess, will be remembered as the "Goddess of Sex"---Nergal, reluctant savior of his disease ridden tribe, will some day meet the cave obsessed Ereshkigal, and together become the masters of the underworld.
The stories of Sulpae and Ninmah continue as does Lilith's, whose all-consuming hatred of Pumi is erased by an act of cold fury.
