Family, both blood and club, was important to him. Nothing else mattered, not even Celeste, the woman he had been seeing.

So why did the little doll of a vet technician stir something inside him? Make him want to protect her? Make him silently agree to call her people to help her escape a bad situation?

Finding her wounded and beaten outside their fence fills him with guilt and turns his life upside down.

He wanted what he knew he couldn't have. They came from different worlds, it would never work. Plus he had a dark past, a past he hated and was ashamed of.

I loved my job as a vet at the Wild Fig Sanctuary for big cats.

It was a peaceful existence until poachers committed the most horrific act. Unfortunately they weren't done, they came back. And in a single moment my life changed.

Kidnapped and forced to help them I took a chance and slipped a grumpy biker a note asking for help.

I waited to be rescued…in vain. Escaping was the only way out.
