If you have ever lived in any of the places mentioned above, then you know a life that few ever get to experience. Randy Day moved to Inuvik, NWT in the mid 1970s and began a series of adventures one can only experience living life in the far north.

Let Randy transport you to life in the north as he recalls many of those adventures with honesty, humility, and humour. He outlines the many challenges and triumphs of living in the Arctic from a harrowing escape on melting ice highway, to being stranded for days in the muskeg hoping for a plane rescue, to surviving the long dark winters and celebrating the return of daylight in the spring. He also beautifully captures the joy and necessity of community, friendship, and generosity of spirit, without which, no one survives the North.
